When is the Best Time of Year to Fish in Key West, Florida?

First, all of these photos were taken in the past two weeks. We have caught Dolphin (Mahi) Wahoo, Sailfish, Shark, Kingfish, BIG Grouper, Blackfin Tuna, and Tarpon since the new year. Probably the most often asked question I get in phone calls and emails is “When is the best time of year to go fishing?” and even at the risk of sounding wishy-washy, I reply, “Whenever you can come!” And that is the truth. There just isn’t any season to fishing in the tropics. Our temps don’t vary by more that ten to fifteen degrees in any month of the entire year. I hear up north you can go from a low of minus to a high of 80 in a couple of days. Ice in Atlanta, snow in New Orleans and Texas???? We put on our “long-sleeve shorts” when the temps dip into the 60′s!
REMEMBER we are closer to Habana, Cuba than we are a Walmart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, when is the best time to come fishing in Key West, Florida? Whenever you can get here :)
